Expansion of eTruck Charging Infrastructure Near Munich
Ignivista, in collaboration with E.ON Drive Infrastructure and MAN Truck & Bus SE, has established the second pioneering eTruck charging park in Karlsfeld, building on the success of the first installation in Berlin-Wildau. Strategically located near major transport routes, this advanced facility features four Alpitronic HYC chargers, ample truck parking, and a central charging island equipped with specialized collision barriers.
To enhance driver convenience and operational efficiency, the site operates around the clock and offers a drive-through design. This approach reduces complex reversing maneuvers and simplifies access to the nearby MAN Service Center, streamlining services for electric heavy-duty vehicles.

Ensuring Safety and Efficiency through BIM
After conducting thorough 3D simulations and Swept Path Analysis, our team transitioned to Revit for the detailed design phase. By leveraging BIM methodology, we coordinated every aspect of the charging park—from structural components to electrical layouts—minimizing design conflicts and aligning closely with real-world conditions.
A Collaborative and Data-Driven Approach
This data-rich process facilitated seamless teamwork among architects, engineers, and contractors. With shared, up-to-date information, stakeholders could address potential issues early, reducing rework, enhancing safety, and ensuring timely completion of this advanced eTruck charging facility.
